01Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed when you visit the Site, request a demonstration or assessment, contact our team, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with LeanQubit through the Site.
It does not govern the operational, machine, process, or production data that a customer’s authorized users submit to or generate within the LeanQubit industrial intelligence platform (the "Platform"). Where LeanQubit processes such data on behalf of a customer, the customer is the data controller and LeanQubit acts as a data processor under the applicable Master Services Agreement and Data Processing Addendum. This Policy also does not apply to third-party websites or services that may link to or from the Site.
02Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, business email address, telephone number, company name, job title, country or region, and the contents of messages, demonstration requests, assessment requests, or support enquiries you submit.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of access. This information is collected using cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from third parties
We may receive limited information about you from business partners, event organisers, marketing platforms, and publicly available professional sources, which we may combine with information we already hold.
03How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to enquiries, schedule demonstrations and assessments, and provide requested information.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our communications.
- To send administrative messages and, where permitted, relevant communications about our products and services.
- To understand how the Site is used and to develop new features and content.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
04Legal Bases for Processing
Where data protection laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation apply, we rely on the following legal bases to process personal information:
- Consent — where you have given consent, for example to receive marketing communications or to allow non-essential cookies.
- Contract — where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into, or to perform, a contract.
- Legitimate interests — where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and promoting our business, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
06International Data Transfers
LeanQubit operates internationally and works with a distributed team and service providers located in multiple countries. As a result, information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from jurisdictions other than your own, including the United States.
Where such transfers involve personal data subject to data protection laws, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms, so that your information remains protected.
07Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Retention periods are determined based on the nature of the information, the purpose of processing, and applicable legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.
08Information Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include access controls, encryption of data in transit, network protections, and ongoing monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include:
- The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
- The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information.
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in the "Contact Us" section. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
12Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, or resources that are not operated by LeanQubit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
13Changes to This Privacy Policy
